2017 Recharter Instructions
What is Recharter?
Each unit (Pack, Troop, Crew, etc.) in the Boy Scouts of America operates under a charter granted to a Charter Organization. These charters must be renewed annually through a process called Rechartering.
What is the Recharter timeline?
The Commissioner Team prepares updated materials to support the Recharter process over the summer and distributes these materials in the early fall. All units must Recharter by the end of the calendar year.
Will the process change this year?
There are typically minor changes year-to-year. The Commissioner Team will help keep you informed about changes in the early fall.
